CHURCH life AT wild street

While families and kids are at the heart of Wild Street AM, everyone’s welcome! Church starts with singing and an engaging talk for kids. Children then go out to their programs, while adults enjoy fellowship, singing, prayer and a bible talk. A special changing and feeding room allows parents of babies and toddlers to hear the bible talk too.  Everyone enjoys morning tea together after Wild Street AM.

If evening is more your thing, Wild Street at Five is for you. We’re a community of all ages, including teenagers, uni students and young families (with a creche for kids). At Wild Street at Five we gather together to learn more about Jesus through clear teaching, inspiring leadership and music.  Dinner afterwards is a great way to get to know each other and many of us kick on for supper.

Kids’ laughter coming through the church windows tells us Wild Street Kids is in full swing. Children have the best time learning about Jesus. Our trained and committed teachers guide children to know and love God, in a safe, caring and fun environment. Tailored programs for children aged 6 months to Year 5 include Creche, Little Tigers (preschool), Alley Cats (Kinder to Year 2) and Wild Cats (Year 3 to Year 5). All Wild Kids' programs, other than creche which opens in the hall from 10:15am, begin with the adults at Wild Street AM. Children leave for their programs after an engaging kids' talk. During their programs kids enjoy a healthy morning tea.

Discover who Jesus is, why he came and what it means to follow him at one of our short 6 or 7-week Intro:Jesus courses. Everyone is welcome - from the most sympathetic to the convinced atheist. We respect your background, culture and beliefs. You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud. You can ask any questions you want or just listen. We enjoy dessert from 7:30PM, followed by a talk or DVD on Jesus and discussion about any questions, and end at  9PM. You are welcome to check it out on the first night and see if it is your thing. There’s no pressure to come back, though don’t be surprised if you find yourself eager to know more.

Youth enjoy two great get-togethers, with awesome teaching about Jesus from the Bible and fantastic food to fuel the fun.

Fridays 6 – 8.30pm
Years 7 – 12 with dinner, digging into God’s word and ridiculously fun games.

Sunday 10.30 am – 12noon
Years 6 – 8 with Bible time and morning tea.

Each week, small groups from Wild Street meet in homes and other places to come to grips with the bible, pray and support each other. It’s a chance to get to know people better, care for each other, expand your knowledge of the bible, share great food and some laughs.
