At Wild Street we explore God's word to discover the life Jesus offers and how to enjoy this life to the full.

Real with God

We encourage each other to take our relationships with God seriously – acknowledging that we have turned away from him and need his forgiveness to be authentic Christians – saved and transformed by the gospel.

Real with each other

We seek to love and serve one another with the word of God and relationships marked by integrity, mutual confession, practical support and prayer.

Real with the world

Knowing that Jesus has risen to reconcile people to God, we want to share and explain the truth about Jesus by our words and actions.

What we believe

Our core beliefs are: grace alone, Christ alone, faith alone, scripture alone, to God's glory alone.

Grace alone – relationship with God comes from what God has done, not by what we do. All we’ve done is reject God and there is nothing we can do to restore the relationship.

Jesus Christ alone – God offers us salvation because Jesus has done the big swap with us. Jesus’ perfect life without sin is counted as ours and our record of sin and failure were counted to Jesus when he died on the cross and rose as God’s king with all authority.

Faith alone – we receive this free gift of salvation by trusting God, not by our good works.

The Bible alone – the bible is God’s word and it alone tells us everything we need to know about Jesus Christ and the way to salvation through faith in him.

God's glory alone - God's gift of salvation enables us to live as he made us to live - glorifying him and enjoying him forever.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - Ephesians 2:8

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

What we are about

Jesus said: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:19-20

Disciples making disciples
Wild Street Church is like a family home. We are disciples of Jesus who seek to know Jesus, care for each other and welcome everyone in. Here's a quick tour of what happens in our 'house':

CONNECT
It is like the front door - the main way people connect with God and his people is around his word at church or at one of our church events.

GROW
It is like the living room where we share life together. A disciple grows in gospel community. Our growth groups met in people’s homes to love, serve and grow together around the word of God.

SERVE
It is like the kitchen. A disciple serves others. God uses each of us to help each other grow as disciples of Jesus and to make disciples of Jesus. We often work together in teams to serve others.

GO
It is like the neighbourhood. As a disciple goes about everyday life they share the good news of Jesus in words and actions.

We also support gospel partners through CMS and AFES in the Middle East, Zimbabwe, Malaysia, Singapore, and at Deakin Uni in Burwood, Victoria and Charles Sturt Uni in Wagga, NSW.
